Cavaliers Impressive Post Season Run

By: Darius M.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are getting closer to making history as they win and make the playoffs look easy. The Cavs are highly favored as of right now to win the NBA Finals and bring their first title home. This topic has been on my mind because I want LeBron to win a NBA championship and get his third ring.

stats

The Cavs already have made history in the playoffs so far. They are 9-0, the tenth team that has done it.   Coach Lue is the second rookie head coach to start 9-0 in the playoffs, joining Pat Riley. They broke the all time 3 shooting record with most made in the game hitting 25 and also most in a quarter with ten, and also first team hitting 15+ threes in 4 straight games. Look at these stats:  Kyrie Irving is the playoffs leading scorer for the Cavs averaging 24.7.  LeBron leading assists and steals at 6.9 and 2.3, and Love leading in boards at 11.6.

The Cavs are  making all this great history, but what if they come up short? It will be a bust season meaning bad or upsetting. It will be a upset because they’re a different team from everyone with all the star power they have in LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love. The simple fact is they have the best player in the league who’s been the best player nearly for the past decade or so, and the other two who are so dominant (Kyrie and Love). You can’t forget about the 3 point sharp shooters they have. The Cavs hit a smoking 77 3 pointers in a four game span, and what about Coach Lue?  The Cavs are living up to their expectation that we have been waiting for all season.
