For years, Tilden has been known as the turn-around school – a school that accepts hard-core students who are only interested in socializing and not studying.
Many students at this school pride social media issues over current events. Students at this school also prefer to play around then learning in classroom. Too many students at Tilden always think everything is a joke.
Tilden students should pay more attention and do work; if one person can change, a student every body can change.
“The culture of many students on our campus do not revere education,” Mr. Gray said.
Here are questions students should ask themselves:
Why do you come to school and socialize?
Do you learn something at the end of every class?
When you come to school do you think you wasting your time?
And here’s how one student answered: “I think that when you get dressed in the morning, sometimes you’re really making a decision about your behavior for the day. Like if you put on flip flops, you’re saying, ‘Hope I don’t get chased today.'”
Today, teens are all about drugs, gang and girls. Some kids just need to grow up and start doing real men work. I think some teens don’t know about what can happen if they don’t make it far in life. I know that sometimes school is hard, but it takes time. If you never try, things will never change. People just need to know that life is not easy.
